<image:title>Values - Value #6 Reverence</image:title>
<image:caption>“Even a wounded world is feeding us. Even a wounded world holds us, giving us moments of wonder and joy. I choose joy over despair. Not because I have my head in the sand, but because joy is what the earth gives me daily and I must return the gift.” ― Robin Wall Kimmerer, Braiding Sweetgrass: Indigenous Wisdom, Scientific Knowledge and the Teachings of Plants The greater our ability to deeply connect to our environment, not just academically, but through experiencing beauty, awe and wonder, the deeper our will is to work for its protection. Stories, movements, change itself, thrive on looking to not just what is broken, but on sharing the beauty that exists—that can grow—that is so worth protecting.</image:caption>

<image:title>Values - Value #1 Deep Listening</image:title>
<image:caption>I see my role as helping people and communities explore and express their own knowledge and wisdom; therefore, every storytelling project I’m involved in engages deep listening to make sure that it’s not assumptions but the most authentic, sometimes unpredictable—and always unforgettable—stories that drive the narrative. I work to understand people and stories in their depth and complexity, and I work with people both behind and in front of the camera to ensure the integrity of this process comes across.</image:caption>

<image:title>Values - Value #5 Regeneration</image:title>
<image:caption>Regenerative Storytelling builds narratives that transform our sense of what is possible, through utilizing our creativity, cultures, and histories as resources—and by centering the joy and growth inherent in deep connection. It is critical to identify both the dominant narratives that hinder social change in different issue areas as well the new stories that can strengthen and propel individuals and movements towards resilience, sustainability and impact. I tell stories that put expose solutions and inspire personal and collective growth.</image:caption>

<image:title>Values - Value #2 Co-creation</image:title>
<image:caption>As a feminist, I believe that collaboration is key. To me, storytelling refers not just to a set of products, but to a powerful process. As a collaborative storyteller, I recognize, center and build upon existing capacities, and engage in techniques that support learning and healing for all involved. I understand that there are few things as sacred as one’s representation, and I believe that people should have power over how their stories are told. Storytelling should be a reciprocal process, where value is given and received throughout the journey by not just the “subject” but by all involved.</image:caption>

<image:title>Values - Value #4 Transformation</image:title>
<image:caption>Storytelling is a dynamic journey, no one—whether filmmaker, interviewee or a viewer online—should start and leave at the same place. I embrace open-mindedness and vulnerability to help ensure I can communicate an authentic journey, and bring people into it with me.</image:caption>

<image:title>Values - Value #3 Interbeing</image:title>
<image:caption>I believe that people and the environment, are inextricable—and that the more deeply I can help people to see their place within an ecosystem, learn to love it and see how it supports and sustain us, the more transformative the story is. If we are to ever live sustainably, it cannot just be an externalized understanding of environmental challenges and solutions that we carry, but a new kind of relationship and relating. To change how we act, we have to change how see.</image:caption>

<image:caption>My community or organization has a powerful story to tell. We’re looking for someone with the sensitivity, experience and storytelling ethics to tell it in a way that supports connection, healing and growth. I have a powerful idea I want to share but I have a hard time expressing it succinctly and powerfully so that it can travel to new audiences, and create yet greater impact. I want to work with someone who practices deep listening and honors the work that my community/organization and I do, while also bringing their expertise, experience and ideas to the table.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work with Me - Does any of this resonate? Oral History</image:title>
<image:caption>I work with an organization, group or social movement with a rich history that no one has ever taken the time to document directly from the voices and memories of those who made it what it is. I’m part of or work with a community or group of people whose story has not been explored, told, understood, or valued deeply enough. I want to document our story so that it’s not forgotten, and so that future generations can learn from us. I have an older family member, colleague or mentor whose story I want to capture before it’s too late. I want to honor the people in my group, organization or community by capturing their life stories.</image:caption>

<image:title>Work with Me - Does any of this resonate? Storytelling Trainings & Coaching</image:title>
<image:caption>I’m a social entrepreneur or changemaker with big ideas and a big impact, but I have a hard time communicating my work in a way that is accessible, compelling, unforgettable. I work with an organization or foundation that supports innovative leaders but they struggle to tell their stories in ways that do their ideas justice, garners support and scales their work. I want to help them to communicate their ideas more powerfully. In order to achieve impact in the issues that I care about, I need and want to know learn about tactics and tools of storytelling and how to intentionally utilize them. I am uncertain about my story, and/or how to express it in a way that is clear and allows people to understand who I am and how to work with me. I want support in understanding myself and my story as I take the next steps in my path. I want one-on-one story coaching.</image:caption>
